What gave rise to the name Edifice?
We were formerly part of a group, doing shows all over campus. It got to a stage where other members of the group had to move on to do other  things.I and my brother then decided to do something of our own, hence the group, Edifice. Edifice  means a large house that is impressive and magnificent. What we do is to impress and entertain our fans with good music.
Why did you decide to do music?
Music has always been there. We have passion for music. We have always been singing right from our childhood. My mum sings and was once a chorister in church. All this ignited our zeal for music. Those days my mum will buy an empty cassette and we will do a live recording .We would play it later  to know who sang well and who didn’t.
Who are your musical influences?
Our musical influences starts from our mum,R.Kelly, the late Lucky Dube ,Tuface BankyW and Celine Dion. All these individuals have a strong influence on our music.
How would you compare the music industry in Edo State to that of Lagos?
The music industry in Edo state  is doing well, but there is a challenge of being visible. You know Lagos is where  the action is.There are a lot of talented artistes in Edo state who lack the platform to promote their music.Secondly, people in Edo state  don’t really have the drive and believe  Lagosians display. They only believe its only the artistes  in Lagos who can do good music. They believe whatever comes from Lagos is the best. That’s why we are planning to relocate to Lagos. We come here from time to time.
What are the challenges you are currently facing?
The number one challenge for artistes is being able to finance your music endeavours. Its not easy .The entertainment business requires a lot of money. My mum has been our sponsor from the beginning even till now.In addition, getting the right platform has also been another challenge .We have met a lot of people who scammed us in the process of doing music.
What will you consider as the high point of your career?
It is amazing when some female fans shed tears during our performances. That for us will be the high point of our career.
What makes you unique as artistes?
Our uniqueness stems from the fact that we make sure our delivery is always remarkable and exciting.
What inspired the song Body control?
Body control is a song that was inspired by ladies who walk on the street, their walking pattern gets the attention of guys. So we decided to create a song around that
How does women inspire your music?
In the entertainment industry, women  are important to the acceptance of your music. If your music isn’t accepted by the  women folk, it will have a challenge of becoming a hit.We love to hang around girl, though we are not in a relationship.Ou focus now is on  our music career.A relationship is like a distraction for now.
Who is that Nigerian artiste you will love to have a Collabo with?
That will be Tuface. He is a rolemodel to several Nigerian artistes and instrumental to what the Nigerian music scene is enjoying today. He knows how to bring his own uniqueness into a song
What do you have to say to your fans?
Nigerian music is the trending thing right now, so keep supporting our music, attending our shows and  supporting the Edifice brand
